Initiated by KRIDA (https://www.krida.org.in) & GVT's Global Parli (https://www.globalparli.org), Global Kachchh is a people's movement that aims to make all Villages of Kachchh self-sufficient in their food, water and farming requirements.

We aspire to mitigate droughts, create integrated development, and enhance water storage capacity through water harvesting projects, thus also reducing TDS levels. We intend to encourage growing crops with the help of natural farming techniques without using any chemicals, process the farm produce and bring overall prosperity to village life with focus, speed, scale & impact.

We are in the process of creating one of India's most significant non-political movements for water.

We want to empower Villagers to create a vision document to help them transform their Village. This vision document will contain all the crucial data to identify all the challenges faced by the Village and then the solutions to overcome them. It will have plans to make scientifically designed water harvesting bodies and increase ground-water tables, so respective Villages can become water self-sufficient in meeting the needs of people, farming and cattle. In addition, we aim to improve organic content in the soil using regenerative principles, increase carbon sequestration and plant lakhs of local trees, creating diverse grasslands and demarcating Gauchar lands.
